01
Information processed locally
You enter a destination country, departure and return dates, and expected frequency for maps and messaging, social media, short video, and video calls or hotspot use. RoamGauge estimates data locally from those inputs and adds a 20% reserve.
RoamGauge does not read the current webpage, tab URLs, browsing history, search history, precise location, IP address, contact information, payment information, or eSIM order information.
02
Information saved on your device
The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save the latest plan: destination country code, travel dates, four usage-frequency choices, and the calculated result.
This information stays in your own Chrome profile. Removing RoamGauge clears its locally stored data.
03
Network access and third parties
Version 0.1.1 has no data server, analytics SDK, telemetry, advertising network, remote script, host permission, or account system. Planning information is not transmitted to the developer or a third party.
04
Affiliate links
Version 0.1.1 does not enable affiliate links, contain referral IDs or coupon codes, set affiliate cookies, or earn commission. A future version may enable partner links only after the partner provides written approval for browser-extension traffic and a clear user benefit, with prominent disclosure in the extension and store listing.
A partner page could open only after you deliberately click a specific plan button. RoamGauge will not rewrite URLs in the background, replace existing referral codes, or open purchase pages automatically.
